Autorenporträt
A pioneer in the field on nutritional science, Kesten has participated in lifestyle and nutrition research in the United States and Europe, and has lectured in India over the past fifteen years. Her work as a researcher, lecturer, and health journalist has established her as an international leader in integrative nutrition. Ms. Kesten has authored more than eighty articles in national and international journals and magazines, including the Journal of the American Medical Association, Yoga Journal, and Veggie Life. Her first book, Feeding the Body, Nourishing the Soul, received the prestigious Independent Publishers' Book Award in 1998, and she was honored as a "healer for the new millennium" by Healthy Living magazine. She has taught courses on integrative nutrition at California Pacific Medical Center's Institute for Health and Healing in San Francisco, lectured at San Francisco State University's Department of Holistic Health, and continues to lecture and conduct workshops internationally.
