No one, least of all Tal, wants to remember the heinous atrocities that she committed in her madness, but neither can anyone forget them. Tal's family wants her to travel to the Forest Lake Nesting Site, a community of eccentric beings that may help to heal her soul. The last thing Tal wants to do is to go to that place, where those mad gryphons reside. Enraged, she flees her home, hoping to leave her detestable society behind forever.

On her journey, she encounters a friendly gargoyle, who leads her to Forest Lake. He introduces her to the fiery Snow Wing, a soul healer whose rage at Talona over the execution of a beloved relative threatens to destroy her healing work before it begins. As the pair reluctantly work together to prepare Tal to face the shadowy demons that lurk within her, they both begin to find healing within their hearts. For the first time in her life, Tal forms friendships that help her to navigate the dark horrors of her past...a past that she must confront so that she can face a new and fearsome enemy.

Autorenporträt

Paula Grover began writing fantasy stories as a child and has continued throughout her life to create new worlds and quirky characters. She published her first novel, "The Gryphon," in 2019. In her second novel, "The Hermit Gryphon: The Redemption of Talona," she takes up the challenge of writing the gryphons' story from the point of view of a former villain. Paula makes her home in St. Marys, Ontario with her cat, Soraya.
