She published her debut novel, 'The Splendid Folly,' in 1919, which quickly established her as a popular writer. With over 28 novels to her name, she became one of the best-selling novelists of her time, her works earning her a widespread, dedicated readership. One of Pedler's most celebrated novels, 'The Hermit of Far End' (1919), exemplifies her literary style, which often melds intense emotion with intriguing plots.
