Autorenporträt

German-born fantasy author, journalist, and poet George Sylvester Viereck (18841962) emigrated to the United States at the age of 11. He edited The Fatherland magazine and wrote the bestseller Confessions of a Barbarian. Despite his stated pro-American stance, Viereck was condemned as a Nazi sympathizer and imprisoned from 1942 to 1947.
