Shelby Adams has a problem with anger.

She'd lose herself in him if it weren't for his womanizing reputation and the fact that Arthur's only around for the hockey. He's going back to his hometown of Alaska as soon as the season ends. Shelby must decide to trust him, which is made difficult by her sorrowful past and the girl that's determined to steal him away. Arthur wants to break through to Shelby, help her with her anger, and keep her for himself, but he knows their time together will eventually come to an end.

Pissed off, sexually charged, and determined to win, the two begin a game with opposing desired outcomes. Soon they learn, however, that their interests are more aligned than either considered. Fate intervenes to teach Westmoreland's angriest, coldest, and toughest people that love might just have a place for them also.
