I hope to inspire others to be free in their writing and not be afraid of criticism sure to come. My poetry is passionate. My poetry is about my growth as a female growing forcibly into a Lady so that I was prepared to become a Wife. Life is about growth and without it either forced or respectfully we are lost. I am evolving through my pen with love as the force I was created in. Write leaving an imprint of your soul long after your presence here. Become part of something greater than right now. Express your soul with ink and watch it flourish as planted seeds for future writers.

Autorenporträt

Raised in Houston, Texas, by my father, David Nelson Sr., who also loved to write, I began to write poetry at twelve to express my song. I would rather read and dance versus watching television, so I influenced four of our nine children to do so as they grew/grow up. Once a single mother hoping, now a wife to a special man, Lawrence Jones II, who encouraged me to move past my hesitation and share my writing. I want to influence others to keep writing despite technology because there is nothing like a book.
