J.M. Briggs is a prolific reader of fantasy and author of The Iron Series. She attended the University of Idaho to study history and political science and went on to complete a Master's degree at the University of Westminster in London, England. Her books weave together folklore from around the world and history to create unusual combinations and new uses of familiar figures. When she isn't writing, she enjoys reading, playing games, and trying too many kinds of crafting.
