Michael Friedländer (1833-1910) was born in the ethnically Polish client-state of Prussiaknown as the Grand Duchy of Posen. Best known for his translation of Moses Maimonides' Guide for the Perplexed, he was principal of Jews' College of London. His works include a German commentary on the Song of Songs.
