Our moral life is threatened with collapse, and our mental life is doubling its course and expanding its horizons, and that It is all at the expense of ancient traditions and beliefs, and everything, whether in our thoughts or in our actions, is new and experimental, and nothing is independent or certain anymore. In every developing civilization, there appears an era in which it becomes clear that ancient natures and customs are not compatible with the influences that have changed, and then the ancient systems and morals collapse when they are hit by the hammer of life on the path of growth, and they are shattered beneath them like a shell of shells is shattered.
