This 4,700 word short story takes place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A woman gives birth to a magical child who is born in a radiant glow of angelic light. As the child grows it becomes apparent to everyone that he is a special kid. Everyone loves him because he is happy, interesting, and he unites neighbors to do good in the community. The kid moves on to the next realm, but visits his mother in a dream and gives her magical powers which she must later in life pass on to the right person at the right time. He tells her she will just know who and when the time is right. One of the powers he gives her is long life, which she uses to do good things.
The story takes place over a few hundred years. One thing, however, stays the same: The love a mother feels for her child.

Autorenporträt

While at the University of WisconsinWaukesha, I served as the literary magazine editor. I earned my Bachelor's of Arts degree in English from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Since then, I have continued to write.

After self-publishing two poetry books (under a different pseudonym) I wrote a middle-grade novel which is sold on Smashwords and other sites. It is titled "The Guardian of the Well." After that "The Bard of Wild Rose" (also available at Smashwords and other retailers), was publisheda novel for young adults and older. I have recently completed a short story collection: "A-Z Bedtime Stories". It was written for ages 8-elderly.

All my writings include a mix of fantasy, spiritualism, and love. Thank you for reading.
