Stella Prince, (1867 - 1927) lived at the lighthouse longer than anyone else, more than half of her life. At its core, The Lady Lighthouse Keeper is an intimate and relatable exploration of family life at a slower pace, set against the backdrop of the rigor required to maintain a lighthouse. Through Stella, we learn about life on the North Fork in the late 1800's and early 20th century, from a woman's perspective.

This is Mary Korpi's first work of historical fiction. She is a docent at Horton Point and discovered Stella's story through her research into the keepers who served there. She is also the author of, Guiding Your Teen with Special Needs through the Transition from School to Adult Life, published by Jessica Kingsley.
