This novel takes place in the sixties of the twentieth century, as it monitors the journey of the doctor "Naji", the last Jew who refuses to leave Iraq after the Jews were subjected to harassment and violence in which many of them fell victim. They fled - in a mass migration - to Israel and Europe, and despite "Naji's" insistence. He decides to stay, but he becomes a target for the governor, who accuses him of turning the peasants against the government, so the journey of the Jewish doctor begins, a journey that puts an end to the nightmares of the night that have always haunted him.
