Born in Southern California and raised in Hawaii, Corky Sandoval grew up around surfing and surf culture. Autorenporträt
Phil Perkins is a writer, businessman and musician who lives in Richmond, Virginia and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina with wife Sandi and a pooch named Skippy. He is the author of several business books and blogs frequently. His interest in surfing and surf culture stretch back to his teenaged years when he frequently visited Florida with his parents and siblings. Like his fiction character, Corky Sandoval, he is the first to admit that he is not the best board surfer, but being the best was always his passion. Hey, you have to start somewhere. Phil is a lifelong fan of the Beachboys and credits them with painting a picture of life in Southern California, woodies, wahinis and kahoonas. Trips to Hawaii and Mavericks in Half Moon Bay, several Caribbean Islands, only stoked his interest. More recently, Jimmy Buffett has carried on the tradition of songs about the beach lifestyle and carefree approach to life that so many people seek. So with The Legend of Corky Sandoval, Phil is presenting this vividly constructed novel in a fashion of what Jimmy Buffett and Mac MacAnally would call a "Semi True Story". Enjoy the journey. You will find his business books, Points of Productivity, Turning Corporate Pain to Gain a 2003 management book to be revised in 2019 ; and two books written with Dan Schultheis, Willing to Buy, A Questioning Framework for Effective Closing, and The Willing to Buy Coach, all available from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Authorhouse.
