Back in the 1980s, Texas schools had a rash of high school students committing suicide and attempted suicide. Students at an Arizona school I taught began copycatting the behavior. To help combat this, I wrote a small booklet English teachers were kind enough to make required reading and a week of study. After this and other measures, the behavior ceased and didn't reappear. Hopefully, this booklet will have the same effect on other students contemplating suicide.
