In the Beginning Was the Logos
Denver, CO, 2003 After losing her family and career, Alyson Sego inherits a 2,000-year-old earthenware vessel containing a papyrus codex written by Mary Magdalene. Despite the warning to "beware of answers, for they may be a form of death," Alyson believes the translated text will bring her the peace she craves.
Ephesus, 54 AD Some twenty years after the crucifixion, Miryam the Magadan (Mary Magdalene) lives with her sister in exile on a mountaintop near Ephesus in Türkiye (Turkey). Here Miryam discovers the Greek philosophy on the Logos, which closely parallels the secret teachings of Rav Yeshua (Master Jesus). She also encounters Paulos of Tarsus (Saint Paul) as he attempts to create a foothold in Ephesus for his own mission. Desperate to keep the Inner Way hidden, Miryam struggles with Paulos's radical and boisterous departure from the Word.
Today The Logos, or Word, is called the Shabda Dhun, the Light and Sound, an audible river of Divine Love that constantly flows through the consciousness of every being and eventually returns the soul to its origin. For Miryam, the Logos guides her to new heights in soul. For Alyson Sego, the Magdalene codex is a message to seek out the Light and Sound in a modern world.
Having come from an intense Christian background, I found the depictions of Paul and Mary Magdalene fascinating and unique, and quite possibly true. ...I highly recommend this to anyone who has felt a spiritual desperation, where finding Truth is all they truly want in life. Rudy Anderson
