In June 2008 Ben Cunningham and five friends set out to cycle from Alaska to Argentina, along the Pan-American Highway, the world's longest land route. Ben Cunningham, from County Kildare, became interested in adventure sports and expeditions in his teens. While a student in Trinity College Dublin he spent summer vacations travelling in Australia, South East Asia and Europe. Since March 2009 he has qualified as a barrister and is currently in practice. Recent cycling trips have included France, Spain and Norway.
