What you have here is a book about Christian Ethics, which may sound daunting, but it's not. Christian Ethics is just the technical name for how we live a Christian life. In this case, we'll be working your way through the Lord's Prayer. Not many people think about the Lord's Prayer as a guide- it's a prayer. Several years ago, as I went through my daily prayers, I had a Blazing Glimpse of the Obvious: Jesus said, "Pray then like this," and gave us the Lord's Prayer. Ok, says I to myself, if that's how Jesus wants me to pray, then I guess I had best pray that way. I also began to meditate on what each of the parts of the prayer meant. This book is not technical. Oh, sure, there are a couple of Greek words here and there, but that's just so you get an idea that no matter how it's translated into English, we miss something. Don't worry about it; you don't need to know Greek. There are also a couple of interesting historical bits. I find them fascinating, but you will have to judge for yourself.
