Produktbeschreibung
Ten-year old Sarah Johnson is lured away from her home in a tiny Native American village to another world by the Sorceress, Glinda the Good. Sarah soon finds herself a pawn in a deadly game between Glinda and the Witches of Oz. The year is 1809, long before Dorothy Gale set foot on the Yellow Brick Road, before even the Wizard, but Sarah Johnson's deeds and those of her companions, Phil, the Logical Kalidah, and Dusty, the Dust Devil, will change Oz forever

The Lost Girls of Glinda the Good tells the forgotten history of an ancient time. It is a story of a prophecy of hope turned by good intentions into a tragedy, a story of courage and betrayal. If you have ever asked yourself why the great Sorceress sent an innocent Kansas farmgirl out to kill the Wicked Witch of the West, instead of doing it herself, you will find the answer here. The Lost Girls of Glinda the Good is not just a story for fans of L. Frank Baum's books, but written for anyone who enjoys reading a gripping, magical adventure.

Autorenporträt
Andrew J. Heller is a retired criminal defense attorney who has written (or committed) three alternate histories, one about the First World War (Gray Tide in the East), a sequel (Gray Tide 2:Tidal Effects), and one in which the Confederacy won the Civil War (If the North Had Won the Civil War).

He has several Oz credits (or debits, depending on your point of view), including the near-universally ignored Giant Chinchilla of Oz, is the co-author (with L. Frank Baum,) of King Rinkitink (Baum, in his grave since 1919, seemed to be okay with it,) and is responsible for several other Oz stories which have mercifully faded during his second childhood (or possibly his third; he can't remember which.)

Mr. Heller is the father of two adult children and a chinchilla, and now divides his time between raising Madagascar Giant Hissing Cockroaches in his basement for the international disgusting bug trade, folding himself up inside a sofa-bed while pretending to be an astronaut in the Mercury space program, and trying to erase old television jingles commercials that are currently occupying the majority of his cerebral cortex.
