Autorenporträt
Deedee Reynolds was born in a rural southeastern community in Illinois. He has had a varied career that includes the ministry, an award-winning journalist, and he managed an office for a US congressman for seven years. He has also been active in community theater, playing Capt. Von Trapp in his all-time favorite, The Sound of Music. Appearing on the stage of Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, he also played Mordred (Camelot), Judas (Godspell), and Scrooge (Scrooge). Lest someone thinks he was the victim of "type-casting", he also played Jesus, a priest, plus a variety of harmless characters. During his tenure as a congressional aide, he developed an appreciation of the good that can done in assisting citizens and cutting through the red tape that sometimes strangles the system. The Man Behind the Mask is Reynolds third book, not counting Faces and Places in Wabash County, a photo album written in cooperation with the Daily Republican Register. He has also written two other books -- Double Take and Text Messages for Divorced People.
