Ben McGarr is Manchester born and bred. An graduate of Durham University (which he represented on University Challenge), he is passionate about local history of his city, anthropology and archaeology. Having travelled extensively, during which time he worked as a translator and interpreter at the British Embassy in Moscow, Ben is now a full time writer. This is his second title for The History Press.
