After retiring from a twenty-five-year retail management career, Cindi Dyke spent ten years teaching academic skills to elementary school children. Retirement from that position left her missing the energy and inspiration of her young students. At the same time, her Australian shepherd, Tessa, needed something meaningful to do, too. Together Cindi and Tessa became volunteers for Therapy Dogs International and began an in-school reading program where Tessa quickly became the star of their Tail Waggin' Tutors program. Returning to the school and students she loves, Cindi strives to advance comprehension and confidence of young readers. Tessa is there to give unlimited kisses and unconditional love. Cindi is the author of Shared Hope, published in 2004. The Mansion Secrets is her first Middle Grade mystery novel. She and her husband live in Janesville, Wisconsin.
