During the interview with young Alice, a woman with a degree in education who loves children, she quickly wins over Lorenzo's mother's heart and is hired. As she begins her job, Alice quickly becomes enchanted with little Theo, an intelligent and clever child. She adapts to the household routine and caring for Theo.

Alice has no idea that the ruthless widower might have room for feelings other than his work. Little by little, Lorenzo shows curiosity about Alice and asks inappropriate questions that make her a bit defensive around him. This only intrigues Lorenzo further. Could something more develop beyond the professional realm?
