Autorenporträt


Joseph Warren Beach (18801957) was an American poet, critic, educator, and literary scholar. After earning his doctorate degree from Harvard, Beach returned in 1907 to the University of Minnesotawhere he had received his undergraduate degreeas an Assistant Professor, retiring as the Chair of the English Department in 1948. Included among his works are American Fiction 19201940 and Sonnets of the Head and Heart (1903).
