Autorenporträt

Nicholas was born in Yugoslavia to ex-pat American parents. They subsequently moved to Zambia where his father worked as a librarian for the University of Lusaka and his sister was born. They traveled a lot in Africa and saw things like the Pyramids at Giza, Victoria Falls (where as a three year old Nicholas ran atop a low stone wall on the edge of the falls to the horror of his mother), and ancient petroglyphs in a cave that was inhabited by hyenas. Eventually they ended up in Berkeley, California where Nicholas attended high school.
Nicholas lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and two children. In addition to writing, Nicholas enjoys cycling, SCUBA diving, traveling, D&D, and playing board games.
