The Moonflower Connection-the second book in The Thighs Trilogy-is a work of fiction for broad-minded adults. Set in two voyages, thirty years apart, on the high waters of the Atlantic Ocean and in the Canary Islands, it is a story with roots in certain events that took place in mid-twentieth century South Africa. In the later voyage, three young adults become entangled in a drama in which justice is sought. Jonathan Stainsworthy is a shipping reporter who has certain inhibitions that frustrate his sister and a young junior engineer, Dominic Meyer. A purser plays a useful supporting role while the ghost of the first book in this trilogy once again has a crucial role that gives impetus to a mission that Dominic is charged to fulfil. It is a task that he seeks to accomplish in Tenerife where a horticulturist, who has much to hide, finds himself inextricably involved in this drama as it unfolds amid lust and jealousy. Will Dominic's mission be one of justice or vengeance? In the process of answering that question, reincarnation becomes an inescapable fact. Intrinsic to the plot is a comparatively mild eroticism here and there, but the story as a whole (just short of 44,000 words) could hardly be categorized as erotic.
