Iris and Aaron are sister and brother. After finishing their chores, they enjoy playing in the garden. One of their chores is feeding the chickens, but on this particular day, Iris notices something strange. Ten-foot-wide bare spots replace the plants and grass in their garden! What do these strange circles mean?

To solve the mystery, Iris and Aaron go to the library where they find the circles are made by things known as "UFOs." They do a series of experiments to try to explain UFOs, but even with the help of friends, the kids can't figure things out.

Eventually, by using teamwork and supporting each other, Iris, Aaron, and all their friends have a brilliant breakthrough. It goes to show that hard work and creativity do pay off. We should also respect differing ideas because we don't always know which ideas will lead to success!
