Discover the Transformative Journey of Salvation Through a Relational Lens In The Mystic Way of Salvation, Matthew Scraper invites readers on a profound exploration of Wesleyan theology, offering a fresh perspective on the timeless path to salvation. Rooted in the rich tradition of Christian mysticism, this book guides readers through the "Four Seasons of Spiritual Growth," a transformative journey that reveals the relational nature of salvation. Drawing on the wisdom of theologians like John Wesley, Evelyn Underhill, and St. Gregory of Nyssa, Scraper weaves together classic theological insights with modern reflections on faith, culture, and spiritual development. From the initial stirrings of prevenient grace to the final realization of unitive love, each stage of the spiritual path is illuminated with clarity and depth. What You'll Discover: The Four Seasons of Spiritual Growth - The Natural, Purgative, Illuminative, and Unitive Ways - and how they shape the journey of faith. A Relational Approach to Salvation - Move beyond transactional faith and into transformative relationship with God. Reflections on Modern Faith - Insights on how cultural shifts have impacted the Church's approach to discipleship and spiritual maturity. Scraper challenges modern Christians to seek depth over relevance and to rediscover a faith with "more of the heart, more of the mind, and more of the backbone." This book is an invitation to reclaim the mystery and beauty of salvation - not as an abstract concept, but as a lived experience grounded in relationship. With wisdom, compassion, and a passion for holistic discipleship, The Mystic Way of Salvation will inspire seekers, theologians, and everyday believers to walk a path of deeper spiritual growth. Whether you're new to faith or a seasoned sojourner, this book will offer new ways to think, pray, and live into the mystery of salvation. "If the Church is to be valuable again, we must stop trying to make disciples who follow Christ and begin making disciples who know Christ." - Matthew Scraper
