Evelyn Scott (born Elsie Dunn, 1893-1963) was an American novelist, playwright, and poet. Considered a modernist writer, she was at the height of her popularity in the 1920s and 30s. Mary E. Papke is a professor of English at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
