J. McLeod Campbell (1800-1872) was educated at Glasgow University and Divinity Hall. Recognized as one of the great Scottish theologians of the nineteenth century, he saw God as a "Love"', not simply a "Lawgiver". His other books include Reminiscences and Reflections.
