Autorenporträt
CHRISTINE COLLETTE is a freelance scholar and lives in France. This, her seventh book, completes her study of women and the Labour movement that began with For Labour and For Women (Manchester University Press, 1989). The route led through trades unionism, a Labour Party parliamentary candidature, teaching General Studies to engineers and History and Women's Studies to graduates and undergraduates at Edge Hill University, where she became Reader in Class and Gender Studies.
