'The Nightingale and the Rose'' - is a work by the Irish philosopher, aesthete, writer and poet O. Wilde (1854 - 1900). The fairy tale was written in 1888. It entered the collection of works «the Happy Prince and Other Tales». The student was dreaming of a red rose, which would give him an opportunity to dance with the girl he was in love with. The Nightingale, who was singing the songs for people who were really in love, decided to help him.
