In the life of 44-year-old Valery Yalynskyi, a civil servant of one of the ministries and until recently an exemplary family man and worker, a disorder is brewing. Fears appear out of nowhere, childish resentments surface, dissatisfaction with oneself and others grows. The novel "The Unruly Alcoholic, or the Middle-Age Crisis" is a story about life's impasse, emotional burnout, rejection of oneself and the environment, envy and helplessness.
