This is a story with many different sides. First is a story of two people who find love, but have to hide it. The Officer is a woman just divorced and the NCO is a young man just trying to find his place in life. Through a accidental meeting while at work it takes off with no real plans.

The Officer was looking for a friend and the NCO was there to listen. As quickly as they met, their friendship grew and before they knew it, they find themselves in a relationship. Because they are in the military, they have to hide it from everyone. The NCO thought he was helping the Officer when he realizes he needs the Officer in his life just as much as she needed him . Without her help, the NCO would never deal with of his fears. With the support of friends they go through many hardships until they reach their final goal, that being married.

The Officer finds out the NCO has a special talent, he can play basketball at the highest level. The problem is the NCO doesn't think he is that good nor does he want to use his skills to help with their problem. With the Officer's help, she gets him over his lack of self-confidence and gets him to play a game that deep down inside he loves. To him the only way to play the game is in the purest level and never disrespect the game. As time passes he gets more and more involved to the point it becomes a pride issue that he now plays the game. It starts out with a simple pickup game and in the end he finds himself in the biggest game of his life in front of the entire world.
