In ancient times, among the Greeks and Romans, the state was closely linked to religion. It came from them and was mixed with them, which is why political systems were considered religious systems, but all this changed. The political system collapsed, for two main reasons: changing beliefs, and the Roman conquest. These two events developed together, during the series of five centuries that preceded the Christian calendar. Since the fifth century BC, thinkers began to liberate themselves from old, outdated beliefs, and the idea of ¿¿non-material nature appeared. Minds reached the idea of ¿¿divine awareness, and they began to have another concept of death, in which the human soul goes to another world, searching for its reward in the gardens of bliss, or to fulfill its punishment in atonement for its sins. Then philosophy appeared to turn all the balance of ancient politics. It was not possible to affect the opinions of the people without compromising the basic principles of their government. The Sophists came to fight the old errors, not caring about the laws of the city and religion. They moved from town to town preaching new principles, so the people began to doubt the justice of the people. Their old social laws, and other principles seemed to them.
