Silvio Torres-Saillant (Author) Silvio Torres-Saillant is professor of English and Dean's Professor of the Humanities at Syracuse University. He is the author of Caribbean Poetics; Introduction to Dominican Blackness; and An Intellectual History of the Caribbean, among other works.
