Being an empath is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, most of us like having such deep emotions. We can feel a sunset clear through to our soul and love more deeply than any "normal" person could imagine. We also tend to have intuitive knowledge about people and places that can be truly helpful-if we listen! On the other hand, we usually absorb far too much energy from those around us and can easily feel overwhelmed, to say the least.
