After helping the police come up with a sketch of a person of interest, she moves back to Marin to start over. She also gets herself entangled in a heartbreaking love triangle with the lead detective on the case. But the Nob Hill Killer has his own plans: to seek revenge on Cassandra. He begins to taunt and stalk her in uncanny ways until she finally realizes the only way to rid herself of her tormentor is to killor be killed.

Rosanna Brand, the daughter of a land surveyor and a department store model, was born in San Francisco and raised in Marin County. She worked in the male-dominated field of civil engineering for ten years, opening doors for other women in the l970s before marrying an entrepreneur. Married thirty-five years, she devoted herself to raising three successful sons. She currently resides in a small historical town in Northern Nevada nestled below the Sierra Mountains. She enjoys landscape design, wildlife photography, collecting antiques, and other outdoor activities.
