In the dense forests of Northern California, where towering redwoods stretch toward the heavens, a bizarre mystery unfolds. Detective Carl Perkins, a seasoned investigator with the rural county sheriff's department, is summoned to a chilling scene - the lifeless body of a man, clad in an outlandish Bigfoot costume, slumped against the base of an ancient giant redwood. Perkins looks around the eerie scene, his mind spinning with inquiries. A vintage dagger rests near the corpse, likely the murder weapon considering its bloody and dirty state. Beside it lies a gun, possibly another tool used in this crime. Were these weapons used in defense or aggression? Who is this man and why did he choose to wear such an unusual costume? Most importantly, what nefarious entity ended his life and left him as a bizarre display amongst the untamed beauty of the forest? Perkins calls for backup as he begins to examine the crime scene more closely. He notices strange markings on the victim's body, almost like claw marks, and wonders if they could be from some sort of animal. He also takes note of the victim's costume, a brown and shaggy suit resembling a Bigfoot creature. It smells like rotting fish.

I was born in England, but have lived in Southern California for many years. I m now retired and live in the Pacific NW in a little seaside city amongst the giant redwoods and wonderful harbor, almost at the Oregon border. My husband and I have one cat, called Midnight and she is featured in two of my latest Sci-Fi short stories. I love Science Fiction, animals, and trying to help others.
