There is only one person in the plane, the pilot, who is very badly injured and in a coma. He is clutching a metal case to his chest and has no identification on him. But is he going to wake up and, if he does, what kind of man is he?

After graduating from University with a degree in Classics, Richard Sloane roamed the world for twenty years as a peripatetic English teacher with a couple of years back in England to do more studying. After that he returned to Cambridge, the city of his birth, to continue teaching again with a couple of longish stints off to publish text books for EFL teachers and students. However, he was then forced to retire for medical reasons and, since that time, he has been writing fiction, something he has enjoyed doing throughout his life.
