Here are a few compelling details about me, in case you're interested:

I live with my wife, Mary, Copper the Wonder Poodle, and Tucker the Happy Havanese on the banks of the mighty Pend Oreille River in the far northeast corner of Washington State. Bob the Boat and I love fishing on the river, even though I suck at it.

I have five sons, one daughter, and lots of grandkids.

I am a born-again believer in Jesus Christ

I love cooking, and I love eating, but mostly I love eating other people's cooking.

I was a trucker. After 22 years I got tired of being gone all the time and became a Hospice Nursing Assistant. It was messier than driving truck, but more satisfying at the end of the day. I now drive a community bus and dream of someday retiring so I can write books full-time.

I dreamed up THE PLANET PERFECTERS more than twenty years ago while driving down some lonely stretch of I-5. After years of pretending to write it, I finally gave in to the insanity and got serious. Now I can't stop writing. It seems all those years behind the wheel left me with a head full of stories.
