The poet lives! is a response to the story of my younger self. Six years and many therapist visits later, I revisit the poems of anatomy, a chapbook I created when I was fifteen and deeply depressed. It contains 20 poems in various forms, including haiku, tanka, list, free verse, and some others I made up for fun. Subjects range from baseball to werewolves to two-headed calfs, but it is primarily a semiautobiographical reflection on mental health struggles, queerness, grief, and survival. Enjoy! Or don't. Art is subjective.
