He is the author of two books: Finding a New Way Home: The Unlikely Path of a Reluctant Baptist Renegade and The Power of the God Who Can't: God Always Does Everything God Can Do, Russ is the father of Jackson (wife, Madison and grandson, Walker) and Bennett, and loves barefoot and slalom water skiing, playing music, and woodworking.
