When author Zander Dowie set out to write a children's story, he focused on two of his favourite things, Christmas and sport. For Zander, a great story is one that provides children with a beacon of hope and an opportunity for imaginations to run wild. He believes that sport is one of life's great equalizers and has the power to unite people and bridge borders, and so it was a natural backdrop to his story's inclusive characters and compassionate friendship. When he isn't writing inventive children's stories, Zander enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing and watching sports, and thinking up more story ideas. He lives in Manchester, England, with his wonderful wife, his son Roman and their two cats, Rocky and Robyn. The Reindeer Games is his debut children's book.
