I go by Jamson these days, and the Gods saw fit to give me another chance. They couldn't put me back after everyone saw my head explode, so they dropped me someplace new. They weren't all that benevolent, because they plunked me in the forest with aches, pains, and a case of fading blindness.

I was rescued by a gorgeous mink-girl and her friends. They were living at a failed college, expecting to get evicted at any moment. There was Nephra, a dark elf with an Egyptian vibe; Kitsune, a fox girl who is also a world-class chef; Peri, a fairy who is only a foot tall, but looks like a lingerie model; and Chug. Chug is hard to put into words. She's a goblin girl, and to know her is to love her, but she's kind of over-the-top.

Honestly, I wouldn't have made it without them. It's a fair trade, because they needed me, too. This led to a bunch of things I'm not particularly proud of. We had to steal everything we needed to make a go of it. My justification is that all this stuff was abandoned. The area is in a severe depression because of a gold boom a couple hundred miles away.

Together with Mink and her four roommates, we decided to open a tavern. It's an easy business to fail at, but our competitors were all on the brink, too. It was the only thing that played into the girls' fields of study, and would provide us with a home.

We work hard, scrounging the beach and bay for food, figuring out how to brew our own beverages, and creating a home for ourselves. Contractors, appraisers, and bankers are combung the abandoned school grounds now. We need to keep a low profile for the time being.
