Autorenporträt
Ai Wei is the Chairman of the Zhejiang Writers Association and is considered one of the prominent '60s authors of China. He is the author of six novels, such as The Wind is Beautiful and Sunny and Comrade Love. He is also the author of several collections of short stories and novellas, including The Whole Universe is Talking to Me and Country Film.

Alice Xin Liu is a writer and translator living in Beijing. Born in China, she left aged seven and was educated in Britain, graduating from Durham University studying English Literature. Since arriving in Beijing in 2007 she has worked as a news assistant for the Guardian, China Editor for Index on Censorship, editor at the Financial Times-affiliated Danwei.org (founded by Jeremy Goldkorn), and as Managing Editor of Pathlight: New Chinese Writing, with Paper Republic. Alice has translated two books: The Letters of Shen Congwen (Yilin Publishing House) and The Problem with Me: And Other Essays on Making Trouble in China by Han Han (Simon and Schuster). Her freelance writings have appeared in n+1, Granta, the Guardian, Asymptote and other places. She is working on a novel. Her Twitter: @axliu.
