Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2024 im Fachbereich BWL - Wirtschaftspolitik, Addis Ababa University (Business and Economics), Veranstaltung: The role of Non state Development Actors: Local and International Actors, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ethiopia is launched homegrown economic development plan and implementing 10 years development plan since 2021. Undergoing significant transformations driven by a diverse array of actors beyond the traditional purview of the state. In recent years, non-state development actors, particularly non-governmental organizations (NGOs), have emerged as influential agents in shaping the country's economic trajectory. This paper seeks to explore the multifaceted role of these non-state actors in Ethiopia's economic development, with a specific focus on their contributions to key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and urban development. By delving into theoretical frameworks, empirical evidence, and case studies, this study aims to elucidate the mechanisms through which NGOs influence economic growth and sustainability in Ethiopia. Understanding the dynamics of non-state actor engagement is relevant for policymakers and stakeholders as they navigate Ethiopia's evolving development landscape and strive to achieve inclusive and sustainable growth objectives.
