Told in the first person of protagonist Charlie Roberts it vividly describes his sexual initiation as he approaches his fifteenth birthday. Indeed it starts with a sexual experience with his sisters Eliza and Mary. His ensuing voyage of discovery thereafter includes a great many sexual exploits with his governesses, many male and female friends, and various acquaintances. Together they indulge their tastes for incest, orgies, masturbation, lesbianism, flagellation, fellatio, cunnilingus, gay sex, anal sex, and double penetration. It is not writing that at first thought you would associate with the Victoria era but then again these novels unleash themselves with an abandon to suggest it's all there just waiting to be revealed.
