When our Savior came into this world to fulfill the will of His Father in heaven and redeem our human race, He was immediately in grave danger due to the plans of Satan to destroy him before He could fulfill His mission of salvation and before Satan, himself would be destroyed instead and defeated forever.
A humble, silent, and almost hidden man from this world, a poor carpenter, chaste, and blessed, was entrusted by God with the task of protecting Jesus and His mother Mary of Nazareth from the evil of this world, that wanted to kill them, and with educating Him with the help of his spouse, the full of grace Mary, and forming him as a bright son of God with the spiritual stature he needed to become the future savior of this world, and until He could attain the maturity that his Father in heaven needed from him to fulfill his mission.
Head of the family of Nazareth, a shadow of God the Father, who wanted to make Joseph son of David participate in His Paternity, this working man fulfilled his mission on this earth, and the history of salvation would have not been possible without the role he humbly played always in the shadows.
In this short semblance about Saint Joseph, the husband of Mary and legal father and guardian of Jesus of Nazareth, the author warns about the present dangers that are currently threatening all families as the basic cells of our society and describes the relevance that Saint Joseph and his family life example can have in our times if we apply them to protect our families and to face todays' challenges to Christianity.
