Louisa Vincenza's first book, "The Shifter and the Witch", is an exciting fantasy/paranormal story with a touch of romance.
Brief Description:
Lucy is a sassy witch who enjoys singing at clubs and kicking demon butt. Follow her as she makes the acquaintance of Deklan, a wolf shifter out for revenge. Their first meeting doesn't exactly leave either with a favorable impression of the other, but circumstances lead to them working together to take care of the demon Deklan's after. And once they spend some time together, first impressions are forgotten and feelings start to develop between them.
If you enjoy this story you'll want to read the sequel, "Witch, Interrupted". Both books are available now!
Detailed Description:
Lucy's POV
I'm not someone who gets pissed off easily, but when the guy I just saved from being demon kill gives me attitude instead of gratitude, I get pissed. The guy is rude and ungrateful, and I don't like him. He also happens to be a wolf-shifter. And it turns out he's pissed because he needed one of the demons I killed alive to question.
How was I supposed to know that, though? He looked like he was screwed. I thought I was helping him. He doesn't need to be such a jerk.
Since I don't like wasting my time on jerks, I don't stick around and trade barbs with wolfy. I leave him in my dust.
I don't expect I'll see him again, at least not anytime soon, but fate has other plans.
Guess who comes to my rescue when a couple of demons ambush me? Yeah, you guessed it. Wolfy.
Unlike when I thought I was saving him, he actually saved me. If he hadn't shown up when he did, I wouldn't be here.
The funny thing about near-death experiences - they put things in perspective.
Any animosity between wolfy and me melts away like butter.
Of course, once that animosity is gone, it's a lot harder to ignore the fact that wolfy - whose name is Deklan, by the way - is a frickin' hottie.
Anyways, it turns out, Deklan needs help. He's trying to find the demon that killed his friend. That's what he was trying to do the night we met and I thwarted him by killing the demons he was going to interrogate for information on Malek.
Of course, I agree to help him. With my witchy help, we find Deklan's target. And that's when things get real interesting!
