God is our potter.
He molds and shapes us for His purpose, regardless of what happens in our lives.

God is our potter.

He molds and shapes us for His purpose, regardless of what happens in our lives.

This is a story about a small clay pot formed by a potter in a village in Israel. A tragedy happens to the small clay pot, leaving it damaged. Life can be difficult, even disabling, whether physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. When we place ourselves in God's loving hands, through faith we receive God's grace to get through the difficult times.

The Small Clay Pot is a story inspired by the hymn "Have Thine Own Way, Lord," written by Adelaide A. Pollard in 1902. God is the potter, and we are the clay that is formed in His hands.

"But now, O LORD, You are our father; We are the clay, and You, our potter; And we all are the work of Your hand." - Isaiah 64:8 (NKJV)

Autorenporträt
In the spring of 1997, I experienced a tragedy just before attending the Art Institute of Phoenix in Arizona. For one of my first classes, the assignment was to write a story to be made into a storyboard format. One of my favorite church hymns came to mind, "Have Thine Own Way, Lord," which inspired the idea for this story. I have loved listening to Christian music since I was a child. Reading and hearing the Word of God, as well as listening to Christian music, has been my inspiration to express God's glory and love through art.
